Greenyard USA/Seald Sweet has started the new year by welcoming Amy Gates as its new vice president.
Gates will initially focus on implementing new ERP and WMS computer systems for the company, along with overseeing all facets of the business moving forward.
“Amy will enhance the company’s progressive growth with her experience and knowledge,” said Mayda Sotomayor, chief executive of Greenyard USA/Seald Sweet.
“She will be an instrumental part of our management team and we look forward to the energy and talent she will bring to our company.”
Gates has over 21 years of experience in the fresh produce industry, having begun her career with a five-year appointment at Famous Software. She then joined the team at Frontera Produce for 16 years, beginning in operations and advancing to the roles of president and senior executive.
“Through strategic planning and development Greenyard USA/Seald Sweet has stayed at the forefront of this dynamic industry, continuing its success under the leadership of Mayda Sotomayor,” Gates explained. “I am excited to work for an innovative company that is looking to the future, while being grounded in Florida’s rich citrus history.”
