The Allen Lund Company has announced in a press release the opening of a new office in Garland, Texas, and the appointment of a new manager, David Leal, the former logistics manager of USA Dry Van Logistics.
The Garland office will handle van, reefer, and flatbed freight, according to the company.
Leal, meanwhile, has worked in the transportation industry since 1997 with a main focus in logistics.
“We are thrilled that David and his crew have joined the Allen Lund Company to strengthen our presence in the Texas markets,” explained vice-president of sales and branch operations, Eddie Lund.
Lund views Leal as a seasoned veteran and a proven leader in the trucking arena and therefore he believes that his company is very fortunate to have Leal on board.
Leal said he is very excited to join the company, explaining that he plans to bring years of transportation experience from a shipper, asset-based trucking company and brokerage perspective.
“Some of my goals are to help the company grow in areas and markets that they haven't been in before,” he stated.
With offices nationwide Allen Lund Company specialises as a national third-party transportation broker, working with shippers and carriers across the US to transport dry, refrigerated (mainly produce), and flatbed freight.
Additionally, the group has an international division, ALC International, which is licensed by the FMC as an OTI-NVOCC, and a logistics division, ALC Logistics.
