Close to a hundred Spanish companies took part in this year’s Alimentaria Mexico, according to organisers, who said the event attracted more than 12,000 visitors.
The eighth annual Alimentaria Mexico show, which was staged in Mexico City from 3 to 5 June, featured some 450 companies from 30 countries and is the only event of its kind held in the country to include all sectors of food and drink.
As well as Spain, the event featured exhibitors from countries as diverse as France, Italy, Germany, Argentina, the US, Canada, Brazil, Vietnam, China, Turkey and Malaysia.
Event director Victor Pascual said: “We are very satisfied with the number of visitors to this year’s edition, where we registered an increase of 18 per cent compared with the year before.”
