Algeria this week participated for the first time at the WorldFood Moscow food exhibition, the 25th edition of which ends on Thursday.
This year’s exhibition welcomed exporters from more than 60 countries, with Algeria represented by more than 20 exporters on a combined 300m2 pavilion.
With a view to entering the Russian market, where demand is high for many items due to the embargo on EU and US imports, Algerian exporters highlighted the wide variety of products available, including dates, dried figs and olive oil.
Algeria’s participation at the fair also featured business to business meetings between its exporters and 23 Russian importers.
