Aldi is mulling the location of a new 500,000ft2 distribution centre in South Florida, the Palm Beach Post has reported.
The project would create 280 construction jobs and 100 permanent positions, prompting Palm Beach County commissioners to think about offering the supermarket chain US$1.7m in tax breaks to build the US$43m facility there.
Aldi is considering one other unnamed location, according to Kelly Smallridge of the Palm Beach Business Development Board, who advised: "It's not a done deal. I have a whole laundry list of remaining items".
