Ahold has announced that Rob van den Bergh, a former CEO of publishing and marketing information group VNU, has been nominated for appointment to its supervisory board.
According to the Dutch retailer, Mr van den Bergh's nomination will be on the agenda at Ahold's upcoming AGM of shareholders, which will be held on 20 April 2011.
On the same date, current board member Karen de Segundo will step down from the supervisory board for personal reasons, Ahold revealed.
Pending shareholder approval, Ahold's supervisory board will therefore be made up of the following members from 20 April 2011: René Dahan (chairman), Tom de Swaan (vice-chairman), Derk C. Doijer, Stephanie M. Shern, Judith Sprieser, Mark McGrath, Ben Noteboom and Rob van den Bergh.
