Almería-based Grupo Agroponiente has opened its first facility in Murcia reflecting the company’s expanding production base.
The facility in águilas, which opened on Tuesday, will provide harvesting and logistics services to regional growers.
“Murcia is an important production zone and enables Grupo Agroponiente to continue to extend its marketing window in key products, thereby improving its customer service which is one of the core pillars of the company’s philosophy,” the firm said in a statement.
With annual sales of more than €100m, Grupo Agroponiente, which is made up of Agroponiente and Vegacañada, is one of Spain’s leading fresh produce exporters, supplying a wide range of fruits and vegetables from southern Spain.
