Macfrut returns this autumn for its 27th edition, with the topics of internationalisation and solutions to help overcome the global economic downturn featuring prominently at the event.
Taking place on 6-8 October 2010 in Cesena, Italy, this year's Macfrut will have a special focus on Africa, looking at the countries of the southern coast of the Mediterranean, both sub-Saharan and those in Central Africa.
Macfrut will also hold the second edition of the European Fruit Summit on 5 October, the day before the opening of the exhibition, giving professionals the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in the Italian and European fresh produce markets.
The event is becoming increasingly international, with 20 per cent of the 21,500 participants in 2009 coming from overseas.
