Adrian Barlow FPC

The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) has announced that Adrian Barlow was elected to the position of vice-president of the FPC Council at the group's recent annual general meeting (AGM).

According to the FPC, Mr Barlow's appointment brings a balance of expertise across the industry spectrum, with his experience of PR campaigns providing a particularly crucial link across the sector.

Mr Barlow is the chief executive of English Apples and Pears Ltd and also of the industry's promotional campaign, while also holding the roles of chairman of the Bramley Apple Campaign and a member of the EC's working forecast group for Apples and Pears.

He established his own management consultancy in 1998, and has also been commissioned by the Asparagus Growers' Association to strengthen the representation of UK growers' interests with multiple retailers.

Meanwhile, FPC president Jim Rogers has been re-elected for a further year, welcoming Mr Barlow and thanking the outgoing vice-president Henri Lambriex at the AGM.
