A new study from Ipsos investigating the eating habits of 15-25-year-olds has caused concern in France, according to a report in newspaper Le Figaro.
Far from achieving the five-a-day target, nearly three-quarters of those surveyed admitted to failing to eat fruit and vegetables every day, the frequent reason being that they don't like them.
The poll points to certain bad habits as part of the problem, with more than half of respondents having grown up in families where meals were eaten in front of the television.
A US study back in 2007 showed that meals consumed in front of the TV were more likely to be less healthy and included less fruit and vegetables.
