Zespri has adjusted its net profit forcast range to between NZ$19m and NZ$22m for the 12 month period ending 31 March, scoop.co.nz has reported.
The announcement betters the previous forecast range of NZ$16.5m to NZ$21.5m, with the single desk marketer reporting higher per-tray prices across all varieties in its latest estimate. Forecasted gold returns lifted two cents on the December (2015) estimate to NZ$7.98 per tray, while green prices rose seven cents to NZ$4.94 per tray.
Zespri’s board has also issued a preliminary profit range of between NZ$26m and NZ$31m for the 12 month period ending 31 March 2017, with the projected increase in earnings being attributed to a rise in Gold3 (Zespri SunGold) production.
