Zespri has announced the appointment of Jiunn Shih as its new general manager of marketing, while Sheila McCann-Morrison has stepped into the role of general manager global supply.
Shih will report to Daniel Mathieson, Zespri’s president – global sales and marketing, while McCann-Morrison will report to the single-desk marketer’s chief operating officer, Simon Limmer.
Zespri chief executive Lain Jager said the pair’s broad global experience would be invaluable as the company continues to grow both its sales and global production.
Shih has spent most of his career at Unilever, where he most recently served as senior global marketing director. Based out of Holland, Shih led the global tea and desserts categories for Unilever's out-of-home food service business. He previously served as Unilever's channel marketing director in China and holds an MBA from Singapore INSEAD.
“Jiunn’s diverse cultural background and broad marketing experience across multiple international markets will be critical as we continue to grow and drive excellence into our global marketing strategy and approach,” Jager explained.
McCann-Morrison has extensive experience in the global fruit industry, with a career spanning over 25 years. She joins Zespri from Chiquita Brands in Switzerland, where she led the sales and marketing teams of Germany, Austria and Switzerland as regional director. Prior to this she spent several years as Chiquita’s director of innovation and packaging in both Europe and Latin America.
“Our 12-month global supply business is poised for significant growth, with many exciting strategic opportunities to pursue and Sheila’s global perspective and experience will help shape this new direction,” Jager added.
