Yusen Logistics continues its push into Asia after announcing a new Less than Container Load (LCL) service from Thailand to Los Angeles.

The weekly service will depart from Laem Chabang every Sunday and arrive in Los Angeles 17 days later.

Yusen Logistics’ Inland Point Intermodal (IPI) service means shipments can be distributed throughout the US.

The new service follows Yusen Logistics’ extensive expansion into Asia over the last six months, with the company’s LCL network now operating out of Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and China.

'Over the past six months we have grown our LCL product in direct response to our customer’s requests,' the company said in a statement.

'We have expanded into Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam, and are seeing a really positive market response.

'We think our network and service quality has been a differentiator here, and we are looking to continually grow the program.'

Yusen Logistics’ services include full track-and-trace visibility, giving complete control over the progress of imports.
