Australia's number one retailer Woolworths said on Friday (April 20) that it grew market share in groceries in the third quarter (Q3) against rival Coles, reports Reuters.
Coles and Woolworths together control 80 per cent of Australia's supermarket sector and recently extended their long-running price wars to fruit and vegetables.
Woolworths chief executive Grant O'Brien announced the Q3 share growth in an analyst call, Reuters said.
