Scott Price, CEO of Walmart Asia, will lead Walmart’s International Unit at its global headquarters in Arkansas. Leading international strategy, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, Price will commence the role on 1 June, after four years as president of Walmart Asia.
The news follows announcements Sean Clarke will replace Greg Foran as chief executive in China, while Foran has been promoted to CEO of Walmart Asia.
The internal re-shuffling is part of a move to develop Walmart’s presence in Asia, where it currently has more than 870 stores in China, Japan and India, with plans to open 50 wholesale stores in India over the next four to five years.
