In New Zealand, Kiwifruit Vine Health (KVH) has announced that it has received a positive Psa-V test result on an orchard near Hamilton in the Waikato region.
According to the organisation, the discovery brings the total number of Psa-V positive orchards in the Waikato region to ten, and meas that the existing controlled area has been extended to include the orchard.
Growers in the newly exyended controlled area are being advised on the situation and protocols are being put in place, including monitoring, spraying, maintaining hygiene procedures and controlling plant and equipment movement.
