Asia’s must-attend event on the global fresh produce trade calendar is just under three weeks away.

Asia Fruit Logistica returns to AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on 4-6 September. Book your tickets now and get ready to connect with industry leaders from across the world. Online ticket sales will end by 30 August 2024 midnight (Hong Kong time).

Over 700 exhibitors from more than 40 different countries and regions will showcase their latest products and services at Asia Fruit Logistica 2024. 

Visitors will be able to take in some 28 national or regional pavilions, including first-time pavilions from India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan and Tanzania.

Asia is an emerging export market for US blueberries, and the US Highbush Blueberry Council is looking forward to discovering new trade opportunities at Asia Fruit Logistica.

“Our goal is to educate attendees about what makes our blueberries exceptional,” said Kevin S Hamilton, vice-president of global marketing and communications. “We’ll promote their uses across various applications and forge new partnerships in the Asia-Pacific market. We also look forward to learning from industry peers and connecting with new and developing markets.”

Big-name brands are showcasing a range of exciting products and innovations at Asia Fruit Logistica.

Fresh Del Monte will display its Del Monte Rubyglow pineapples, launched in China earlier this year after some 15 years of research and development.

In addition to promoting its range of blueberry varieties, Sekoya will showcase a new blueberry dispenser. “It’s an ’eye-catcher’ and a new way of selling snacking blueberries in a hygienic, convenient and fun way,” said value chain and retail manager, Hans Liekens.

Apple brand Joya will unveil a fresh logo and brand identity at Asia Fruit Logistica, while Pink Lady will share its new brand positioning, specifically designed to build brand affinity and expand its customer base across Asia.

On the main stage, Asiafruit Congress kicks off with a high-powered panel discussion looking at Asia’s changing consumer and food retail landscape, and what it means for fresh produce marketers. Speakers include Anson Bailey, KPMG’s head of consumer and retail - Asia Pacific, Antony Greenstein, CEO of Joy Wing Mau Asia; David Yang, Zespri’s head of market development for Greater China; Fong Yoon Chyi, category director of produce for DFI Retail Group; and T&G Global’s Thailand country manager, Sam White.

Running alongside Asiafruit Congress, Asiafruit Business Forum homes in on specific topics with wide-ranging workshops and case studies.

High-tech farming comes into focus on Day Two (5 September). Tom Stenzel, executive director of the Controlled Environment Agriculture Alliance, hosts a session exploring the opportunities for vertical farming in Asia with Jessica Fong of Common Farms, Lionel Wong of Upgrown Farming and Marc Oshima of Oshima Good Food.

Asiafruit Showcase is the stage where exhibitors present the latest products, technologies and solutions.
