It has been announced that Thailand will be the partner country at this year's World Food Moscow, which takes place on 17-20 September 2012.
The 21st edition of the annual event will see 20 countries participating as part of a Thai pavilion, showcasing a wide range of products including fresh produce.
Thailand has been exhibiting at the event since 2004 and is one of 65 countries that participate at the event annually to help maximise their business presence in the region.
'Out aim is to find good partners to represent Thai products in Russia and other neighbouring countries,' confirmed DITP Thailand.
Last year, some 1,420 exhibitors showcased their products and services to around 45,000 visitors, with this year's edition expected to be even larger, while a comprehensive programme of events has also been arranged to educate and inform about the latest developments in the Russian market.
'World Food Moscow is a proven route to Russia for international companies, seeking to explore this fast-developing and lucrative market,' said Tony Higginson, head of sales for the ITE Group. 'Russia experienced a 4.8 per cent economic growth rate in the third quarter of 2011, as more Russians are travelling and experiencing foreign cuisines which they wish to have at home.'
