Earlier this week, Alibaba Group’s e-commerce platform Juhuasuan launched a new cross-border e-commerce programme with China’s new free-trade zone in Fujian. According to the cooperation agreement, companies in the FTZ will set up online stores and launch new products and services on Juhuasuan.
Fujian Free-Trade Zone opened in April this year, and implements simplified customs clearance procedures exclusively for goods imported from, and produced in, Taiwan. According to the press release, this new programme with Juhuasuan will see “Taiwanese fresh produce get picked in the morning, and reach the FTZ with custom clearance in the afternoon”, and save consumers in the region half of their order delivery time.
Juhuasuan will launch an online campaign named 'Straight from Taiwan' in the next few days. Online shoppers in China will be able to buy Taiwan-produced Jinzuan Pineapples and Irwin mangoes, among other Taiwanese products and services.
