Sun World International has promoted three executives within the company to senior management roles.
Jason Fuller has been appointed vice president of domestic sales and grower relations, Julie Escobar has been promoted to vice president of international sales and marketing, and Kris Long has been promoted to vice president of operations and technology.
The move comes as Sun World executive vice president Gordon Robertson announced he would be departing the company on 3 August to pursue other opportunities.
“These promotions reflect our commitment to empower our people and accelerate innovation,” Sun World CEO Merrill Dibble said. “It’s an exciting time to be at Sun World as we expand our international reach and grow our new proprietary varieties.”
With 17 years of experience in international business development and marketing, Escobar will continue to lead Sun World’s international business.
“She has done an outstanding job of growing the export business and brings an advanced knowledge of global markets,” Sun World said in a release.
“The marketing function will also be managed by Julie moving forward as the company continues to focus on growing and strengthening the Sun World brand both domestically and internationally.”
Long has 15 years of experience in operations and technology, while Fuller has developed a deep understanding of the needs of the retail marketplace and of growers over 20 years in the produce industry.
“I have confidence that Jason, Julie, and Kris will continue to drive the success of our business and help Sun World expand its global brand presence,” Dibble said.
