Singapore has reaffirmed its status as major trade hub for the Asian region, with locally based companies dominating the recent Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards in Shanghai.
Seven of the 39 awards presented at the ceremony went to Singaporean firms, including the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, which was recognised as the operator of the Best Seaport Asia.
PSA Singapore Terminals was named Best Container Terminal Asia (over four million TEUS) and Best Global Container Terminal Operator. Shipping giant APL won the award for Best Transpacific Shipping Line.
