Wes Anderson-Smith, CEO of New Zealand avocado and kiwifruit packer and coolstore operator Satara, has handed in his notice effective from 10 May.
Mr Anderson-Smith has quit in order “to pursue other interests”, Satara said in a statement.
He spent 19 months in the position, and will be replaced on an interim basis by former commercial director Thomas Wilson, reported New Zealand’s Business Day.
The packer posted a 24 per cent decline in full-year earnings in March to NZ$4.7m, and the company’s shares have fallen in value 17 per cent this year.
