Poland aims to become the European Union’s (EU) largest exporter of fresh foods to South Korea, the country’s minister of agriculture revealed on a recent visit to Seoul.
According to a report by the News, of all EU countries Poland is currently Korea’s fourth largest trading partner.
While pork accounts for 80 per cent of Poland’s food exports to Korea, Sawicki said fruit and vegetables such as apples, cabbage, and cucumbers could play be bigger part in its export programme to Korea in coming years.
Last year Poland exported €45m (US$58.4m) in food products to Korea, the News reported.
