Argentina has signed a trade agreement with the Philippines that will allow it to send around 3,000 containers of mandarins yearly to the South East Asian nation between May and October.
According to a report by Fresh Fruit Portal, the ‘Working Plan for the Exportation of Fresh Argentine Citrus to the Philippines’ has been signed by both parties and will come into effect at the start of 2013.
Talks are also underway to establish market access for Argentine grapes, pears and apples.
