New data released by Pakistan's Bureau of Statistics has shown mixed export fortunes fothe country's fresh exports during the opening three months of fiscal 2012/13 (July-September).
According to the Bureau, vegetable exports grew 3.4 per cent during the quarter when compared with the same period of 2011/12, raking in some US$26.72m (€20.6m), APP reported.
By contrast, fruit exports fell 4.2 per cent to US$61.7m (€47.6m), compared with exports of US$64.4m (€50m) in the July-September period last year.
Overall food exports stood at US$879m through the quarter, down on the US$993m recorded last year.
