Pakistan is nearing its kinnow export target of 200,000 tonnes after sending 125,000 tonnes of the fruit to markets in Eastern Europe and the Middle East this season.
Kinnow Growers Association director Hamid Saleem Warriach told the Pakistan Observer exports would continue through February, while current exports had garnered US$75m, to date.
He added that 2m tonnes of kinnow was produced in the country annually, with 80 per cent produced in the Sargodha district.
