New Zealand kiwiberries will enter the Indian market for the first time this week. The initial consignment is made up of fruit from Freshmax New Zealand’s Munch’n range.
Leading Indian importer Suri Agro Fresh will handle the kiwiberries once they arrive in the South Asian nation, building on its portfolio of fresh New Zealand products, which already includes kiwifruit, apples and avocados.
“We’re incredibly excited to extend our New Zealand fruit range to include the kiwiberry. We work very closely with Freshmax and trust that this new addition will be well received by our customers,” said Siddhaarth Suri, key account manager at Suri Agro Fresh.
The move comes in response to rising demand for fresh berries amongst Suri Agro Fresh’s customer base.
The sales programme will be supported across various marketing touchpoints, including a strong digital and social media push.
“With the launch strengthened by a global marketing campaign it really gives us confidence to try something new' added Suri.
