Danish oil and shipping group AP Moller Maersk plans to cut around 400 jobs as it restructures its struggling container shipping division, Maersk Line.
In a statement issued late last week the group said the reorganisation should allow for faster decision-making and that around 250 of the job cuts would be made at its headquarters in Copenhagen.
Maersk reported last month that it expected 2012 results would be slightly lower than in 2011 - a modest improvement on previous guidance, but below analysts' hopes.
