Australian cherry and stonefruit grower Ky-D Pak has teamed up with wholesaler and exporter Tenfarms to market its premium cherry crop directly to customers both locally and overseas.
Taking its name from the nearby river that supplies the farms’ irrigation, Ky-D Pak and Tenfarms will pack the cherries under the Buffalo River brand.
The DePasquale family, which runs Ky-D Pak, has also invested in rain covers for its entire cherry production, making the Victorian company one of the largest covered cherry growers in the Southern Hemisphere.
The DePasquale family has established cherry, apple, pear and stonefruit orchards in Kyabram, and more recently diversified with a significant new planting in Myrtleford in northern Victoria’s alpine region, where high-coloured Royal Gala and Pink Lady apples are in production along with cherries.
