South Korea is negotiating access to the Philippines for a range of its fruit and vegetables under a bilateral trade agreement, reports the Manila Standard Today.
The Philippines Bureau of Plant Industry said South Korea wants to export its strawberries, melons, tomatoes, broccoli and grapes, among other items, to the Philippines.
Manila, in turn, is pushing Seoul to consider importing mangoes, pineapples, bananas, mangosteen, durian and avocados from the Philippines.
The Philippine government will conduct pest risk analyses on the South Korean produce prior to granting entry, the report said.
