Parag Rastogi, head of merchandising for Bharti Retail, will join a panel of retail executives to debate the direction of modern food retail in India. With his consulting background and extensive experience in fruit and vegetables, Mr Rastogi will offer some valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges currently facing supermarket retailing in India.
Meanwhile, S Venkatraman, who heads up Food and Agribusiness Research and Advisory at leading agribusiness bank Rabo India Finance, will introduce a session on corporate investment in India's fresh produce supply chain, which will look at the possibilities and pitfalls for local and foreign investors.
