Tim Main and Neville Harris have joined regulatory body Kiwifruit New Zealand (KNZ) as independent directors.
The appointments are part of changes being made to the governance structure of KNZ under amendments to the country’s Kiwifruit Export Regulations, which came into effect on 1 August 2017.
The KNZ Board will now comprise of three grower elected directors,two independent directors and an independent chair appointed by the Minister for Primary Industries.

He has held senior roles with the ANZ and BNZ banks in Australia and New Zealand, including chief economist for the ANZ Bank in New Zealand.
Harris is from Wellington and has a strong legal background and has held senior roles in the Ministries’ of Commerce and Economic Development.
