Grocery delivery app HappyFresh has been launched in Bangkok, Thailand, with expansions into Taiwan and the Philippines before the end of the year, according to Tech in Asia.
The mobile app was launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Jakarta, Indonesia, in March this year, as well as expand across Indonesia, with ‘personalised shoppers’ collecting the consumers orders and delivering it in as little as an hour.
As well as the grocery delivery app, HappyFresh plans to launch a sister app called HappyRecipe that will allow consumers to access recipes and order its ingredients.
Co-founder and COO Benjamin Koellmann said HappyFresh catered to the high-end market, and has teamed with higher-end retailers but is looking to diversify into partnerships with mid-range retailers as well.
“We want to be the number one online grocery marketplace in this region, so the expansion will continue. We have very strong and experienced local managing directors who run each market with a local team, and they are supported by our headquarters here in Indonesia,” Koellmann told Tech in Asia.
