Hamburg Süd is expanding its presence in China, opening a new office in Nanjing this week (1 August).
Headed-up by general manager Steven Pu, the office will oversee the shipping giant’s operations in the Yangtze area, which includes the ports of Chongqing, Wuhan and Lianyungang.
All tasks that were previously carried out by the Ben Line agency will also be taken over by the office. This includes daily operations, sales and customer order management.
Services to and from Nanjing will be operated using feeder ships from the ports of Shanghai and Ningbo.
