Future Retail has announced plans to open 35 new stores across India, according to Inside Retail.
The expansions plans will take place over the next 18 months, as the company aims to raise its revenue above Rs130bn (US$2.1bn) by the end of 2015.
Future Retail, a subsidiary of the Future Group, currently operates 165 Big Bazaar stores across India.
Inside Retail has reported the company’s owner, Kishore Biyani, is focused on his FMCG business and on-trading shares in other businesses such as Biba.
