Consumers in Singapore will have the chance to experience a taste of UK retailer Tesco with NTUC Fairprice to stock more than 400 Tesco products.
The retailers have formed a strategic partnership that will also include the launch of the 'Tesco finest' store-in-store concept within FairPrice stores.
Starting with FairPrice Finest at Bukit Timah Plaza, the store-in-store will feature 150 Tesco products, with customers able to sample some of the goods and speak to Tesco ambassadors about the international range of products.
Seah Kian Peng, CEO of NTUC FairPrice, said the two companies share a common goal of providing access to quality, good value products.
“This strategic partnership will help boost our ongoing efforts in catering to the changing lifestyles and tastes of our customers,” Seah said. “With like-minded partners, we are able to leverage on our respective strengths and benefit customers at our stores by offering an even wider range and choice of quality international food products at great value.”
CEO of Tesco in Asia, Tony Hoggett, added that the partnership would combine FairPrice’s local expertise and Tesco’s record of sourcing quality products from across the globe at affordable prices.
“We are confident that together we can offer unrivalled quality and value to shoppers in Singapore,” he said.
