Lemon production from north-west Argentina this season has fallen year-on-year.
RobertoSánchez Loria, president of the Tucuman citrus association ATC, said: “The lemon campaign this year has produced 20 per cent less fruit compared to results for the end of the 2011 season.'
'Exports of fresh lemons to the EU, Russia and south-east Asia were similar in volume to last year, while volumes destined for industry were slightly down on 2011.”
