Valleyfresh South Africa has announced the appointment of Nadene Erasmus.
Erasmus joins the Cape Town-based export company from major Dubai-based importer Abuseedo, where she was head of operations. Prior to that, she worked with leading South African table grape grower Karsten Group, and earlier with Afrifresh.
Erasmus joins Marius De Bruyn and the Valleyfresh South Africa team in Cape Town, where she will coordinate the company’s growing export operations. Her initial focus will be on table grapes, with significant citrus programmes planned for the coming season.
Set up in 2014, Valleyfresh South Africa is part of the Valleyfresh group headquartered in Australia, and it has been a key growth area for the business, according to Valleyfresh CEO Murray McCallum.
With its head office in Melbourne and a presence in four states of Australia, Valleyfresh has become a significant Pacific Rim exporter with offices in New Zealand, the US, Chile, Peru, South Africa and Indonesia.
