Fruit company Dole Asia has launched a mobile app in Thailand that allows customers to order fresh fruit from their mobiles and have it delivered to their homes.
Called DOLEivery, the app was created alongside Mobext Asia Pacific and at the moment is limited to Bangkok, available for download at the Google Play Store.
“Instead of visiting the grocery store to purchase fresh produce and go through the process of picking, packing, and weighing, we’re allowing our consumers to let us do it for them,” said regional marketing executive of Dole Asia Veronica Supetran in a company statement. “Now they can simply order pre-packed high-quality fruits through their mobile devices and have it delivered straight to their doorstep.”
“The app puts Dole products straight into the hands of their customers, and it makes fruit shopping not only convenient, but fun,” said Arthur Policarpio, managing director of Mobext Asia Pacific, adding that he was glad Dole Asia was exploring mCommerce.
“They’re creating a buying experience that customers would want to repeat over and over again.”
