After launching the Dole Sweetio Pineapple Sorbet and Red Fuji Apple Sorbet with McDonald’s in 2021 and 2022, Dole has joined hands with McDonald’s again this year to launch the Dole Sweetio Banana McFlurry, leading the banana craze this summer China.

Dole-McDonald’s partnership grows

As the official partner of McDonald’s, Dole has frequently launched joint products to ignite consumers’ passion in summer. When McDonald’s classic ices are paired with Dole’s high-quality fruits and vegetables, the co-branded limited-edition models are highly sought after and receive an enthusiastic response from consumers.

In 2021 Dole co-launched the Sweetio Pineapple Sorbet, which, thanks to the use of Sweetio Pineapple Juice, perfectly reproduced the pineapple’s rich aroma and sweet-and-sour taste, It attracted a very strong response as soon as it hit the market, and was a favourite among consumers. Young consumers have been sharing it on social media and it sold out early.

In 2022, McDonald’s once again chose to join hands with Dole to launch Apple Sorbet, a dessert that met the needs of today’s young market.

Selected from Dole’s Red Fuji apple juice, the texture was created through the introduction of new technology, presenting a natural fruit flavour and sweet taste, suitable for modern young consumers who pursue a low-fat diet in the balance between health and taste.

Good bananas make good flavour

On 31 July, Dole Super Sweet Banana McFlurry was launched in 6,000+ McDonald’s stores and 2,000+ dessert stations across China. The McFlurry is made from the finest Dole Sweetio Banana, with real fruit pulp added. By matching Dole Sweetio Banana, which is super sweet and soft, and cold McFlurry in summer, Dole has created a whole new flavour paring.

Dole bananas have become a household name and can be found in major supermarkets such as Sam’s and OLE. One of Dole’s top products, the Sweetio Banana, is the best of the bananas, with close to 300m bananas sold in China every year.

Produced in Dole’s own farms in the Philippines, the bananas are grown in the highlands and have a long growing period of more than 365 days, which allows them to accumulate more sugar, making them super sweet, sticky, and flavourful, without being astringent. At the same time, Dole’s Sweetio Banana is also richer in vitamin B6 and potassium to replenish daily energy needs. Dole Sweetio Banana is also a star fruit highly recommended by Panda Guide Sensory Lab.
