A Malaysian delegation has visited Qingdao in Shandong province to talk about exporting Malaysian dragon fruit to the Chinese market, reportswww.nanyang.com.
Chong Sin Woon, one of the Malaysian delegates, said that with a population of over 100m, Shandong province is an attractive export market.
Malaysia is working together with the local government of Qingdao to facilitate the export of dragon fruit, the report said.
China mainly imports white dragon fruit from Vietnam, But Chong told Nanyang.com that Malaysian red dragon fruit is sweeter and cheaper than Vietnamese dragon fruit.
