Beijing-based retailer and tangerine exporter China Fruits Corporation has expanded its bricks-and-mortar stores in the People’s Republic and seen growth in both its online sales and exports.
China Fruits opened an additional 57 stores in 2014, bringing its total retail stores in China to 64, and posted a 698 per cent increase in its Nanfeng tangerine exports from US$6.36m in 2013 to US$16m in 2014.
The company’s e-commerce subsidiary, Taina Fruits, posted a 100 per cent month-on-month growth rate, generating US$1m in revenue since its launch in August 2014, according to a company statement.
China Fruit’s chief executive Quanlong Chen said the focus for 23015 would be developing its e-commerce business.
