CH Robinson Worldwide has been named by readers of Inbound Logistics magazine as the number one third-party logistics provider.

The company, which recently opened its first European office dedicated to the shipment of perishables in Rotterdam, scooped first place in the magazine's annual poll for the second year running.

'CH Robinson is responsive and continues to anticipate evolving needs by offering the strategic solutions required to drive business process improvement and change for their customers,' commented Felecia Stratton, the magazine's editor.

Inbound Logistics polled a total of 8,630 people from across all industries with some involvement or interest in third-party logistics, before compiling its annual list top ten companies in the sector.

'Being named the number one third-party logistics company by the readers of Inbound Logistics is all the more meaningful because it's the voice of the customer,' said Jim Butts, senior vice-president at CH Robinson.

'Their voice, and ultimately their vote, is our motivation to continue providing our current and future customers with innovative supply chain solutions which allow them to accelerate their advantage.'

Earlier this year, CH Robinson was named as the second 'most admired company' in trucking, transportation and logistics by Fortune magazine, the third consecutive year it made the list.
