Carrefour China has opened its third Easy convenience store in Shanghai, with ten expected to be operating in the city by the end of this year.
The French-headquartered retailer said it would focus on providing community convenience stores with selected produce from its hypermarkets.
“It aims to bring a convenience lifestyle to the surrounding consumers by offering an abundance of goods and quality services to meet the daily necessities of community residents,” the retailer said in a company statement.
Since establishing its online business in China in June this year, Carrefour plans to expand its O2O operations, with customers able to pick up their online orders at Easy Carrefour convenience stores.
