South Australia’s Adelaide Produce Market will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s Jiangnan fruit and vegetable market on 5 August.
The MoU will pave the way for more South Australian fruit and vegetables to enter China via its largest wholesale fresh produce market in the southern city of Guangzhou, said Adelaide Produce Market CEO Angelo Demasi in a statement released 4 August.
South Australian minister for agriculture Leon Bignell will be on hand witness the signing of the MoU at the Adelaide Produce Markets, and will be joined by representatives from Jiangnan market.
The Adelaide Produce Market supplies more than A$590m of fresh produce annually.
