The New Zealand-invented robotic packing machine, the Aporo Produce Packer, will make its global debut at the Horticulture Conference in Christchurch, New Zealand on 23 July 2018.
The apple packer has been developed over the last decade by Robotics Plus, a Tauranga, New Zealand-based agtech innovation firm, and is being marketed globally by Global Pac Technologies, a Jenkins and Van Doren (US) joint venture.
“This is an exciting time for Robotics Plus and Jenkins Freshpac systems,” said Jamie Lunam, general manager of Jenkins Freshpac.
“New Zealand is developing some awesome technology for the horticulture sector and it is extremely exciting to be a part of taking this technology to the world,' he added. 'While there are some huge global shows we could debut the Aporo at, it seems far more appropriate to do it in New Zealand where it was born.”.
The Horticulture Conference is being held at the Christchurch Airforce Museum, 23-25 July 2018.
