Ugarte is named as commercial director for grapes, a position that also involves managing the new blueberry programme
Vanguard Group International has announced the promotion of Ignacio Ugarte to the position of commercial director for export grapes.
Since joining the company in 2021, Ugarte has operated in its purchasing and sales department for South America.
The group said that he had successfully led the sales of fresh fruit, both from its own production and from third-party producers in Peru, Chile, and Argentina, to markets in Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
Additionally, he has been responsible for the daily relationship with various suppliers of table grapes, citrus, and mangoes from Chile, Peru, and Argentina.
“I am excited to take on the role of commercial director for grapes,” said Ugarte. ”In this new phase, my main goal will be to consolidate and expand the presence of our grapes in international markets.
”Furthermore, I am thrilled about the opportunity to manage the new blueberry programme and lead the global commercialisation of our products.
”I am convinced that, with the talent and commitment of our team, we will strengthen our commercial relationships and explore new opportunities that allow us to continue growing and adding value for our customers worldwide,” he continued.
“I thank the company’s management for their trust in me and reaffirm my commitment to working tirelessly to achieve our goals and take our company to new levels of success.”
In his new position, Ignacio will take on ”significant responsibilities”, Vanguard stated, including the global sales of grapes, managing the new blueberry programme, and directing global commercialisation.
”We are confident that Ignacio will continue to play a crucial role in our growth and ongoing success in the global market,” the group added.
