BA World Cargo and Christian Salvesen, which manages the Heathrow Perishables Handling Centre on BAWC’s behalf, were winners of the ChileGAP Innovation of the Year award at the inaugural Re:fresh Awards ceremony last May. BAWC had already invested £15 million into its Perishable Handling Centre to cater for the needs of the rapidly growing traffic in airfreighted produce.
