The first harvest of Australian-grown Delite branded mandarins will start to hit the shelves of Australian retailer Woolworths in the first week of August.
Nutrano Produce Group manages the marketing of Delite mandarins and is expecting a bumper crop of great quality mandarins this season with Delite mandarins being harvested from July to November.
“As expert citrus growers, we’ve seen an increase in demand for seedless mandarins over the years. We’ve focused on growing a high-quality seedless mandarin that offers consumers a great eating experience,” said Brett Jackson, executive general manager of Citrus at Nutrano Produce Group.
The mandarins will be supplied from growers in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
“We’ve been growing Delite mandarins for six years now. We know that consumers are looking for sweet and seedless mandarins for snacking and the 2019 crop is a culmination of the hard work from our Delite grower base,” said Jackson.
Delite mandarins are available exclusively at Woolworths marketed with blue Delite stickers or in 700g prepacks.
