Florette has launched a new superfood salad at Tesco, this time in a bowl, following the strong sales performance of its bagged product over the past three years.
The new Superfood Side Salad bowlis a mix of baby kale, peppercress, baby chard, spinach, rocket and shredded beetroot with ribbon carrot, red cabbage, a sachet of pumpkin seeds and a sachet of pomegranate dressing.
Designed as an accompaniment to a main meal, or as the basis of a healthy lunch, the bowl will compliment the existing 120g Superfood Salad bag, which contains a mix of peppery and tender leaves with beetroot.
In addition, a new smaller 80g bag of Superfood Salad will be launched at Asda and Morrisons from January 2019.
Florette said its existing Superfood Salad bag has enjoyed “consistently high demand” since it launched in 2015, prompting the brand to launch the smaller superfood products.
Elsa Deshiere, brand manager at Florette, said: “Our Superfood Salad has been one of our most successful newer products. It is particularly popular with consumers wanting a healthy and convenient salad option that can be used for a variety of meal occasions.
“Consumer insight has shown us that while consumers want to eat healthy, they lead busy lives, so the new Superfood Salad Bowl and 80g bag have been designed to meet this increased demand and take into account different lifestyles and usage of the product.”
The salad bowl will be sold at an RSP of £2, while the 80g Superfood Salad bag will be available for an RRP of £1.
According to the brand, the salad bowl is high in vitamins A, C and K, as well as folic acid and calcium.
